Eastground is a small software company from Leiden. Two developers, one mission: technology that lightens the work of people doing good. Our flagship is Pivio.
No investors, no sales pitch. Since 2001 we, Jaco Blommerde and Jelle Oosterhof, have built software in close collaboration with the organisations that use it every day. We prefer to work on questions with social value, together with universities, companies and consultancies.

We don’t take on just any project. Our themes grow from where our own expertise lies, and from the conviction that technology makes a real difference here.
Healthcare
IT that makes care better and lighter. Co-founder Jelle is a developer and a medical doctor (MD). Technology and care come together in him.
Energy transition
Technology and analysis for sustainability. Co-founder Jaco worked on the energy transition at CE Delft, the Province of Utrecht and AkzoNobel, among others.
The people behind Eastground
Two builders, one workshop.
No department, no layers in between. Eastground is a company of two: we run it together and build everything ourselves. That keeps the lines short: you always speak to the makers themselves.
Jaco Blommerde
Co-founder · IT & energy transition
Expert in IT and renewable energy, with over seventeen years of experience. Studied Sustainable Development (Energy & Resources) at Utrecht University and worked on the energy transition at CE Delft, the Province of Utrecht and AkzoNobel, among others.
Jelle Oosterhof
Co-founder · IT & healthcare
Developer and medical doctor. Earned both a bachelor’s in Computer Science and a medical degree (MD) at Leiden University. Has built software for over fifteen years and looks for IT that improves healthcare.
